They’ve been that way for a while now. $250,000-$400,000 is the norm.

These were going to be collector cars from day 1. Limited production - under 6,000 total, Henrik Fisker design, 50 year parts stockpile promised by BMW, S62 motor out of the E39 M5, faster than the contemporary 360 Modena, neon tube lights, unique interior pieces, etc. I think they did initially drop somewhat from the MSRP in the mid 2000's, but they were too rare, unique, and good to stay there.

Yeah, a few years ago I took a look on the LA Craigslist to see if I could find any, expecting maybe $20k-50k at the max, but I was shocked to see $200,000 was the norm. I guess I can understand why, these are pretty rare...I’ve only seen one in my entire life.

Makes me kick myself, I had the opportunity to buy one new for around $65k at a dealer auction. Did not feel like spending that kind of cash at the time on a decision I had to make right then and there.

Yeah, I don’t think they ever really went down in price. The owner of my old company got one new in 2001, as a Christmas ‘gift’ from his wife. I ran into him a few years ago, and he still had the car. I came home and searched and found out they were all over $100,000 for a decent example. That was probably in 2010.

I’m not sure these even depreciated. in fact, if I remember correctly, these have been appreciating since day 1.
